Difference between "everyone full control" and "everyone edit" for everyone in shared folder
I am not sure if this is the right place to this question. We had set "full control" permission for everyone in our shared folder. But now, we would like to change the permission for everyone to "edit". Questions: 1. What's the difference between "everyone full control" and "everyone edit" ? 2. How to change the permission? 3. What's the impacts of the changing to end users or system? Really appreciate your help. Best regards, Lester Chen

Hello, 1. What's the difference between "everyone full control" and "everyone edit" Read that: http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Share-Permissions.html 2. How to change the permission Go to share permissions on the properties of the shared folder and change what you want. 3. What's the impacts of the changing The impact if that everyone group no longer have Full Control on the folder. Means that you prevent them from deletion of files ... Please note that NTFS and share permissions are combined and you will be given the minimum of privileges. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
